At each lesson you will be given
handouts, which are both informative
and instructional, so that you may refer to them when you need
assistance at home.
Students can choose from any of my courses listed below:
Computers for Beginners - In this course students will learn
how to be comfortable at a computer, how to open a
program, use the keyboard and the mouse, correct errors, move
text and how to save and retrieve their work. There are many
other word processing skills taught in the course.
Buying a computer - In this course students will learn about what to look for when buying a computer. They will also learn what RAM means, what a processor is and what the size of a Hard drive means.
Digital photography for Beginners - In this short course students will learn about taking good photographs, composition, down-loading from the camera card to the computer, cropping, lightening etc. They will also learn how to send pictures via e-mail, plus how to look up certain features in their handbook.
The Internet (World Wide Web) - In this course students
will learn how to use Internet Explorer, research the Web, make
reservations, buy goods on-line etc.
The Internet (Email) - In this course students will learn how to send & receive e-mail.
Microsoft Outlook - In this course students will learn
how to use Microsoft Outlook. This program is used like a diary / daybook. It enables one to keep a schedule of daily appointments, tasks to perform, and also to send & receive e-mails.
MS Excel Level 1 - In this course students will learn about working with an Excel spreadsheet. They learn about working with rows & columns, the auto features up to and including learning how to write formulas.
Notes are also available for Excel 2007.
MS Word Level 1 & Level 2 - In this course students will learn about Microsoft Word. Word is used extensivly for word processing and to create professional documents, letters, posters, brochures etc.
Notes are also available for Word 2007.
Or, students can choose to have a 1 hour private lesson on
any subject of their choice. They may focus on specific subjects which
they may need to review or repeat.
